Charging Policy

This policy has been written for Parents/ Carers and Service users about clear and transparent charges that may made above their funded hours.

Fees
£9.50 per hour for children aged from 6 months to 5 years.

Fees will be charged for all sessions booked and agreed with the nursery.
Fees will be charged at £9.50 per hour over the 15/30 hour funded hours.
Fees will be charged even when a child is absent through sickness or holidays.
Sessions will also be charged when the nursery is unable to open short term (no more than a calendar month) due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. extreme weather, flooding etc). This is because overheads of the nursery such as staff wages must be covered. Should the nursery be forced to close for more than a calendar month, the director will use their discretion regarding fee payment during the closure.

Registration Fee
Lammas Green Nurseries does not charge a registration fee as we cannot guarantee a place to every child on our waiting list.

Funding
Government funding is intended to cover the cost of delivering 15/30 hours per week of high quality childcare. Any additional hours required will be chargeable at our hourly rate. 
Funding is only used during term time and is not stretched across the year.
All consumables will be charged at a daily rate. 
If parent’s or carers decide to opt out of the daily consumable charge there is an alternative preference. Please speak to your nursery manager.
Lammas Green Nurseries Ltd only offers a small amount of fully funded term time only places. Parents need to apply for funding and then send Lammas Green the Code. The funding must be renewed by the date Gov.co.uk gives you.

AUTUMN TERM
Must apply before the cut of date of 31st August to be used in the   Autumn term

SPRING TERM
Must apply before the cut off date of 31st December to be   used in the Spring term

SUMMER TERM
Must apply before the cut off date of 31st March to be used   in The Summer term
Lewisham will not accept any claims that have been made outside of these times

At Twin Oaks – Funding can be used the term after a child turns 9 months of age.
At Prendergast- Funding can be used the term after a child turns 9 months of age.
At Sydenham Hill – Funding can be used the term after a child’s second birthday.
At Horniman – Funding can be used the term after a child’s second birthday.

Consumables will be added to all invoices the term after a child turns 3 due to the extremely low funding rates for 3 & 4 year olds. Full hourly rate will be charged for all hours attended not included in the funding as agreed when child joins the setting.

Review of Fees

Fee Charges will be reviewed annually in September.

Invoices
Parents/Carers will receive a written invoice detailing the service they are being charged over and above the funded weekly entitlement. This will be a month in advance.

Late Payment 
If payment has not been received within 14 days of payment due date, a reminder will be sent and a 10% late payment fee for the whole invoice will be incurred. Yours child's place will be put on hold until payment is received.

If parents /carers are experiencing financial difficulties we can sign post parents/carers towards agencies who could offer support.

Failure to pay childcare fees

Lammas Green Nurseries Ltd reserves the right to withdraw your child's place and proceedings will begin to enable the collection of debt.

Lammas Green Nurseries Ltd reserves the right to appoint a debt collection agency or pursue the debt through a small claims court.

Any legal fees incurred by Lammas Green Nurseries Ltd during this process could also be added to the outstanding debt.
